Hi! My name is Tara Maake and I am an Illustrator and 3D Character Animator who graduated from Savannah College of Art and Design in May 2021. I just finished working for 3 years at Nickelodeon Animation Studios as a Research Artist on a preschool show called Blaze and the Monster Machines!

Animation has been a passion of mine for as long as I can remember, and it has been a dream come true learning as much as I can and experiencing the animation pipeline. I am constantly trying to improve both myself and my skills and I am absolutely overjoyed I get to experience the craft in such a wonderful time period with new innovations and techniques being used daily. Part of my goal has always been to help create characters and worlds for bigger audiences, and I absolutely love working on huge projects with a big team!

I illustrate on the side as a hobby as well, and I enjoy making characters, worlds, and stories both on my own and with friends. When not animating or drawing, one of my main hobbies is both running and participating in a huge, collaborative story-telling project with over 90 others! It's a mix between writing and D&D - with dice rolling aspects but more heavily led by everyone writing for their own characters - and I have great fun exploring character development and storytelling through it.

I also have two cats who are my whole world - their names are Kirby and Yoshi, and at this point my entire phone is filled with pictures of them and nothing else!
